JUST RIGHT, LLC INKS CONTRACT TO REPRESENT SOUTH CAROLINA OVARIAN CANCER FOUNDATION IN CAUSE-RELATED MARKETING EFFORTS
Greenville, SC (August 29, 2005) Local cause-related marketing firm Just Right, LLCSM has signed a contract to represent the South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation in the development of fund- and awareness-raising cause-related marketing promotions.
Headquartered in Greenville, SC, the South Carolina Ovarian Cancer Foundation (SCOCF) was created to support women diagnosed with ovarian cancer, to educate the public about the disease, and to support research. Ovarian cancer is the deadliest of the gynecological cancers, occurring in one in every 55 women. Of the 23,100 women diagnosed with ovarian cancer this year and 14,000, or nearly 61%, will die. Striking women of all ages, the disease is rarely detected by available tests, including Pap tests, but with early detection and proper treatment, more than 90% of women survive longer than five years.
Ovarian cancer support, awareness and research are in desperate need of funding, a fact Ive learned both at the helm of this organization and as a sufferer myself, says Janet Rigdon, Executive Director, SCOCF. We have seen the great success other organizations have had in the area of cause-related marketing, and the success Just Right has had with the other non-profits it represents. These two facts have combined to motivate us to join with Just Right in what we know will be some unique and impactful efforts.
